Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company (SFNTC)
The project consists 6 large Controlled Atmosphere Treatment chambers, each of them able to hold 600 C48 cartons (egual to 6 pcs 40 Ft Containers, each). The chambers are all built in an existing warehouse, which is divided in an untreated and treated area. The chambers have 1 door at every side, and there is a division wall on top of the chambers stretching to the top ceiling of the building.

Santa Fe manufactures and markets additive-free natural, organic tobacco products. The company was founded in 1982 and is best known for its Natural American Spirit cigarette brand. Natural treatment of the tobacco in the whole supply chain is of utmost importance for Santa Fe. Soon after CORESTA released guideline No. 12 (Controlled Atmosphere parameters for control of cigarette beetle), Santa Fe decided to approve the use of CA for treatment of their tobacco’s.
