For Ahmad Tea, UAE we have installed a single controlled Atmosphere chamber for the desinfestation of the incomming products.

Until the installation of the Controlled Atmosphere (CA) system, the incomming products where fumigated with Phosphine gasses (PH3). Due to resistance of the insects and the chemicals used on the products, the decision was made for the investment for the 100% Natural Treatment with a >99.98% mortality guarantee.
The dimension of the chamber is large enough for the incoming flow of containers. The aim is to treat each incoming container to avoid any infestation in the warehousing or in the production.

This is the flagship site for Ahmad Tea based in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The facility is opened in 2012, and supplies bulk blended teas to other Ahmad Tea factories around the world and annual production exceeds 14 million kg of tea. Bulk packing production is fully automated, and with high speed dispatch we are able to produce a peak output of 180 containers per month, which is a blending capacity of 100,000 kg.
